When Should You Consider Infertility as a Problem?

Many doctors and fertility experts say that you should not be concerned about infertility until you have been trying to conceive for a full year. The truth is that many of us can’t wait that long! Not only that, but sometimes we just know that something is wrong. If you are concerned or have some legitimate fears, then it’s time to check into what’s going on.

If you feel that something is wrong, then go with your gut. Many women simply can’t wait until it’s been a year of trying and therefore want to get checked out. A doctor can measure your hormone levels to detect if ovulation occurred. If nothing else, you may find that you get a bit of peace of mind by being proactive in your efforts.

Be Proactive and Take Measures Into Your Own Hands

You may find on your own that something isn’t occurring as it’s intended to. If for example, you detect major issues with your cycle, such as sporadic periods, very short cycles or a lack of ovulation, then it’s best to get to your doctor or to a fertility expert to find out what’s going on. When in doubt, get checked out!

Here are some helpful things to consider, which can help you to decide if going to a doctor can help. Remember that every woman is different and you know your body better than anyone. If you think that something is wrong, go see somebody who can possibly help you move forward.

  • When you have been trying to conceive for a substantial period of time: Again, many experts will tell you that you need to try for a year or at least six months.

If, however, you are doing everything you can to try to speed conception along and find there are a couple of months where nothing is happening, then it’s best to get checked out.

A measure is based on an average, but even a couple of cycles of trying with no positive results can be enough to make you want to ensure that everything is OK.

  • When you are not detecting any ovulation with a home test: The home ovulation tests can be of great help in figuring out what’s going on. If you use them properly, they can tell you when you are ovulating and help you look for patterns and timing.

If you use such a test and are getting no positive ovulation indication, then this can be a reason to be concerned. You should be ovulating, even if it’s earlier or later than you originally thought. Therefore, if a home test shows no ovulation at all, it’s important to find out what is going on and get some help in case infertility may be an issue.

  • When your cycle changes drastically or you miss periods without pregnancy occurring: If you went from being very regular to now being all over the place with your monthly cycle, then it’s time to get an outside perspective. If you are missing periods or they have changed substantially then you need to get a medical opinion.

A change in cycles, painful symptoms, unusual patterns or anything else that just seems suspicious is always something to get checked out. It may be indicative of something else going on or it may be nothing at all. The bottom line, however, is that you need to find out why these issues are happening and put your mind at ease by getting medical involvement to be proactive with your conception issues!

Keeping Yourself Balanced and Focused for Success

When it comes to fertility, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands. We hear this with other health problems or medical conditions, but it is never more true than with conception and fertility overall. You must be in tune to what is going on and help yourself as necessary, rather than waiting for a doctor to tell you.

Trying alternative methods is part of it. Although a doctor may be quick to give you medication, you may find that a more natural remedy or method is just what you need. Sometimes balancing out the body and helping to rid it of toxins or of blockages is all you need to help conception along.

Your Mental, Emotional and Physical Being All Play Into Fertility

At the end of the day you have to believe in the process. You have to be able to envision conception taking place and work to make it happen. Sure, infertility does happen, and it’s more common than ever. However, it doesn’t mean that this is the case for you. Even if you are diagnosed with a condition, it doesn’t mean that conception can’t or won’t happen and you have to realize that!

It’s very easy to get down on yourself or on the process as you move forward, but that will only work against you. Fertility is one health condition where your attitude and environment can really play into your odds of achieving it. Therefore, the balance that you maintain physically, emotionally and mentally is a major component of achieving conception, and you must always keep that at the forefront of your mind.

Recognize that your mindset and the way in which you take care of yourself can be critical in fertility success. If you don’t believe in your ability or the methods that you are utilizing, then it will really cause problems in your fertility. Something as common as stress can wreak havoc on the body and make conception far less likely in a woman of good health, so try not to let this be part of who you are or how you view things.

For whatever reason, many women are shocked that the way that they live their lives can play into their fertility. It seems impossible that environmental issues or even the way that you deal with stress can be such a positive or such a negative, but it’s true. Even getting enough rest at night can be a factor, so it’s all about finding that healthy balance and making it part of your routine moving forward.

Balance May Vary But the Need for It Is Always Imperative

Achieving balance is different for everyone but is undoubtedly important if you want to get pregnant within a given time period. It may be turning to yoga or meditation to balance yourself. It may be making good choices and adapting to a truly healthy lifestyle to prepare the body. It may be more about stimulating yourself mentally to remain focused and strong.

You may encounter some challenges along the way, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t or won’t get pregnant. It’s all about staying focused, remaining positive and always trusting your instincts, as they will never let you down. This philosophy is something that you will learn throughout pregnancy and as a parent. Your instincts and inner feelings are often what will help you move forward!

You have learned about many tips that contribute to fertility, and now it’s time to apply them to your life. If you need to get to a healthy weight, then it’s all about doing it once and for all. If it’s about learning to manage your stress and keep out the elements that contribute to it, then it’s high time to make the move. Balance can be yours, but you have to work for it and really want it!

Focusing on the finish line and envisioning that baby in your arms can be of great help as well! When you have a bad day or a month where you are not pregnant, you have to find a way to get back to that vision and positive attitude. It’s not always easy and you are going to have struggles along the way, but you can certainly lessen them with the right attitude and true commitment.

Believe in what you are doing and take matters into your own hands, and here are some great ways to do just that:

  • Be your own best advocate, and be proactive with your efforts: You are the one who knows your body, your cycle and your instincts better than anybody else.

Don’t wait for somebody else to tell you what to do, but rather take matters into your own hands. If you believe something is amiss, then get it checked out. If you want to try an alternative method, then do it! This is your journey, so take control of it and make it happen for yourself — you’ll be so glad you did!

  • Know that staying calm, stress-free and focused can help conception to occur: Eliminate obvious stress from your life and learn how to properly manage it. Try to find a way of staying calm even when daily life gets the best of you.

If you can maintain focus, no matter what circumstances you are dealt, this will greatly increase your chances of conception. Be dedicated to this and learn how negatively stress can affect you. Eliminating the negative and focusing on the positive is a great way to prepare yourself for conception!

  • A positive mindset can be of great help in your journey and so can alternative methods: Believe in yourself and stay positive no matter what you may fear. Worry does nothing but decrease your chances, so try not to let it get in the way of your ability to conceive.

If you believe that alternative methods, such as herbs or acupuncture, may help, then try them. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain and finding that inner strength and true balance will be of such help you won’t believe it!

Staying strong, staying focused and working to help your chances will create a solid foundation, when coupled with a truly healthy lifestyle and really taking care of yourself, there is no stopping you!
